MarketMakers hosts South East Contact Centre Forum networking event

Founded in September 2009, the South East Contact Centre Forum (SECCF) is a networking group for senior level contact centre staff from Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Hampshire, Kent, Oxfordshire, Surrey and Sussex. With more than seven hundred contact centres in the south east region of the UK, the opportunity for networking and knowledge-sharing at forum events is priceless.

With monthly Executive Club breakfast meetings and quarterly networking events, this month it was MarketMakers’ turn to host the other group members.

On September 19, MarketMakers welcomed representatives from contact centres all over Hampshire and Surrey to their 220-seat contact centre at Lakeside, Portsmouth.

The day started with SECCF Membership & Events Manage, Trevor Butterworth providing an introduction and relevant updates regarding the networking forum. He was then followed by Clare Wenham of NewVoiceMedia who discussed the future of voice in a world of digital customer service.

To talk about noise levels in a contact centre and their impact on agent productivity was James Spencer from the global producer of innovative headset and speakerphone solutions, Jabra.

Following a short break, Dan Simpson-Haas from Premier Business Audio investigated the question ‘why should we improve our call centre messaging?’. He was then followed by MarketMakers own Operations Director, Henry Braithwaite who talked the representatives through a relevant contact centre case study.

The event was a huge success and a great opportunity for networking and knowledge sharing between contact centre staff from the Hampshire and Surrey area. The MarketMakers’ office was buzzing with enthusiasm throughout the forum meeting and when asked for his opinion of the day; Trevor Butterworth said “The feedback from our members was another great event hosted in a state-of-the-art contact Centre based in our region”.
