Charity work in Cameroon
As a socially responsible organisation, MarketMakers regularly hosts charity fundraising events such as dress-down days and sponsored activities. The money that is collected is used to fund our partnership projects throughout Cameroon.
Recently, representatives from MarketMakers flew to Cameroon to visit projects in Nseh, Njitout, Chefferie, Koumangwa and Koumenba. In 2011, we helped build a new primary school, two nursery classrooms, a new well and a fully equipped medical centre in Nseh. Since then, the village has flourished and the whole community have continued to work on these projects by building additional classrooms, health centre wards and other developments.
We have seen first-hand how important this charity work can be to the people of Cameroon and we are currently reviewing some proposed projects for this year’s fundraising.
