My name’s Luca and I am currently at MarketMakers as part of my college placement, learning all about what the business does and all the different aspects within the business. I have written this blog to show some of the predicted 2019 marketing trends. I think it is very important for businesses to have an idea about the trends that could affect their business both positive and negative ways. 

Knowing predicted marketing trends is good because it is useful to see what channels are likely to be more successful throughout the year. Businesses should keep on top of trends throughout the year because they can really help businesses grow.

Close-knit Sales and Marketing teams

Sales and marketing teams must work closely together to ensure a successful business strategy. One offers lead opportunities, whilst the other focuses on face-to-face client relationships and ensuring a sale is made. Collaboration benefits each party, so it makes sense to invest time and effort into making your teams relationship’s as successful as possible.

At MarketMakers we have a marketing team in the office that generate appointments for the sales team to sit. Both of the teams speak to each other daily to make sure that the salesperson knows everything they need to. If this wasn’t done, this can lead to confusion with the meeting.

Getting Personal

Following in the footsteps of B2C marketing, B2B marketing is increasingly becoming personalised in 2019. With the introduction of Account-Based marketing in the B2B sphere, more personalised marketing is proving successful with businesses.

Already most businesses have a social media presence but don’t post and use the right tools to help them. 2019 is the time for businesses to utilise the advantages of social media marketing.

Transparent Marketing 

Leading on from social media marketing, all businesses should have at the front of their mind when marketing online to be transparent, as it can often be harder to tell if marketing is trustworthy online.

Especially in 2019 where social media will have more users and social media marketing will be bigger than ever before.
